Portugal

Canada

With all that the United States has to offer right on its doorstep, many travelers have yet to discover Canada. Those that have may have ventured to the cities of Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. All are great destinations with unique personalities, perfect for travelers who love to sightsee and shop. Beyond the bright city lights, Canada is blessed with stunning scenery including Horseshoe Falls, the Rocky Mountains and a wealth of National Parks for vacationers to explore. If outdoor sports are your thing, you will be overrun with choice – kayaking, hiking, and biking are just some of the options, alongside the skiing and snowboarding Canada is famous for. With 3.85 million square miles to explore and a new experience each season, people say there is no best time to travel to Canada, which is why those who have discovered it return again and again.

New Zealand

Although a popular destination, New Zealand has traditionally been overlooked in favor of Australia. However, New Zealand has much to offer – still having the beaches of their antipodean neighbor while also boasting some of the most stunning scenery around. If you enjoy hiking or climbing, there are mountains galore to tackle, or if you prefer a laid-back retreat there is something for you too, whether on the beach or away from the hustle and bustle. Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movies highlighted the beauty of New Zealand and brought it to the attention of many who hadn’t previously considered it as a destination.

The Republic of Ireland

Many travelers are drawn to England for its history, and no one can blame them – Queen Elizabeth II, The Beatles and Shakespeare are so engrained in culture it’s no surprise people want to visit their country. The Republic of Ireland might not be as well-known as a tourist trap but you won’t fail to fall in love with the country whether you opt for Dublin, a vibrant city with exceptional nightlife (and the country’s most popular visitor attraction, the Guinness Storehouse) the town of Sligo, synonymous with poet WB Yeats, or go off the beaten track to explore beautiful County Mayo.
